As a business that promotes a low-carbon future, we’re extending that philosophy to our own operations. We have set ourselves the goal of achieving Net Zero certification from the Canada Green Building Council and the Government of Nova Scotia by 2026.
We’re working towards this by:
Transitioning our fleet to electric vehicles (EVs).
Maximizing recycling efforts by salvaging as much material as possible from the old heating and cooling equipment we remove from jobsites.
Continuously improving our refrigerant handling practices to minimize environmental impact.
Managing 30 acres of forested land outside of Bridgetown as part of our bid to qualify for Nova Scotia’s Thriving Forest program.
Installing solar panels on our property to further reduce our carbon footprint.
To be honest, it’s a lot of work! We’re still navigating a steep learning curve, but the wins far outweigh the setbacks. Every step forward brings us closer to our goal and we’re excited to share our progress.
